Assabaska Ojibway Heritage Park is located within a short driving distance to the goods and services you may need.

Bergland is only a 5 minute drive south of the park.  Groceries, gas, and liquor are available, as are bait and tackle right across the street.

Big Grassy River First Nation is approximately a 15 minute drive north of the park.  Just before the bridge over the Big Grassy River you will find a small convenience store and gas station.

Morson is only another 5 minutes up the road from Big Grassy.  A general store carries hardware supplies, groceries, liquor and gas.  Several resorts in the area provide coffee shops, dining rooms, and occasionally live entertainment on weekends.

Rainy River is roughly 40 minutes south of the park.  With a population of approximately 1000 people, Rainy River is a full service community with stores, restaurants, and medical services.  Rainy River shares its borders with Baudette, Minnesota in the U.S.A., a town with similar amenities.

Fort Frances is a 1 1/2 hour drive east of the park.  Fort Frances is the oldest town west of Lake Superior, with a healthy population of 10,000.  "The Fort" offers museums and special events throughout the year, as well as every convenience you may need.
