Points of Interest

The Tomahawk Lighthouse is the oldest landmark in Morson.  It was built in 1900 and operated until 1962, during the age of the steamboat.  Tours are available.

The Manitou Mounds Historical Centre is a national historical park and interpretive centre highlighting First Nation's culture and history.  The centre is located near Emo, about an hour away from our park.

Special Events

In June, the Ojibways of Onegaming - one of the Assabaska First Nations - host their annual summer pow wow.

Be sure to visit Rainy River in July for Railroad Daze, a fun-filled community celebration in this historical railroad town.

If you visit our park in the month of August, you can drive to Emo for their Rainy River Valley Fair.

Or you can experience more Ojibway culture and hospitality at either the Big Grassy First Nation‰s Annual Pow Wow, or the Big Island First Nation‰s Annual Traditional Pow Wow, both held in August.
